I started off this blog with the very best of intentions to make writing a more regular feature in my life, but as with all the best-laid plans, life has got in the way and I haven’t had as much time available as I’d like.
My massage course started two weeks ago and aside from a 30 minute morning yoga practice every day and a 1.5 hour class with my favourite teacher on a Sunday, I have little time in my life for things that aren’t studying. Writing will have to go on the back burner for now, until August when I take my exams.
My course tutor made a comment that has stuck with me since the first class, which is that as massage therapists, we really need to take care of our physical, emotional and spiritual needs daily. This really resonated with me as I don’t want to burn out before I’ve even got started so I’ve been waking up half an hour early to do some sun salutations and a short meditation and then make myself a smoothie from the Superfoods book that my housemate got me for my birthday.
You may not hear from me for a while but rest assured if I have any time available I shall try to write or if not, I’ll be seeing you in August 🙂
